Starting with Android version 8, third-party applications may register as Autofill services for recognized fields including usernames and passwords. Previously, the only way for RoboForm to fill those fields (which is still supported) was via the Android accessibility API.
Enabling RoboForm as an Autofill service in Android 8 or later
In the RoboForm app, tap the 3 dots on the top right >> Settings >> App integration >> Autofill in applications.
The RoboForm Autofill service will capture usernames and passwords entered into Android apps. However, RoboForm web Logins or those created via the Accessibility object will not populate during Autofill. For the time being, the RoboForm Autofill service needs to capture each Login anew. We are currently investigating ways to better integrate the Autofill service with existing RoboForm Logins to avoid this extra step.
To capture a new Login
1) Navigate to the site/app that you'd like to log in to. Tap "New Login."
2) Enter the site name, URL, and the appropriate User ID and password.
3) Name the Login and choose the folder where you would like it to be housed. Tap "Save."
Logging in with the new Login
1) Tap the RoboForm icon.
2) RoboForm will automatically fill in the appropriate Login credentials.
