1) Everywhere mode (most common): You will be asked to enter your Master Password. As part of the upgrade process, your RoboForm Online password will no longer be active.
2) Desktop mode: You will be asked to enter your Master Password. As part of the upgrade process, you will be asked to provide your email in order to create a new RoboForm Account. Should you wish to disable syncing, you may do so by going to Options >> Data & Sync >> Un-select "Automatically Sync."
3) Everywhere mode with multiple Profiles: RoboForm will only upgrade the data in the currently selected Profile similarly to (1) above. If you need to merge the data in separate Profiles, do this prior to upgrade by moving the individual RoboForm files manually to the desired Profile. If you need to upgrade multiple Profiles, reinstall v7 and switch by clicking the RoboForm icon >> Tools >> Profiles. Next, install v8 and proceed to upgrade the additional Profile. Each Profile will need its own RoboForm Account.
4) Desktop mode with multiple Profiles: Similar to (3) above, however, you will need to create a RoboForm Account for each Profile.
5) Unprotected Data or Dual Master Password: RoboForm 9 requires all data to be encrypted. You will be asked to provide a Master Password. Dual Master Password is not supported in RoboForm 9.
6) Master Password in Windows system protected storage: Since you will be asked for your Master Password as part of the upgrade process, you may need to retrieve it. To do this, click the RoboForm icon >> Options >> Security >> click the "Set Master Password, Mass protect/unprotect" button to reveal your Master Password.
