Version 8/9
RoboForm 8/9 user data is combined in one file, encrypted, and compressed. The data is not visible or accessible until the Master Password has been entered. Without the Master Password, the individual who stole your computer is unable to access your data.
NOTE: If "Don't ask for Master Password" is selected within your Security Options then the data is able to be seen within RoboForm on the machine by anyone with access to your Windows/Mac account on the machine.
Version 7
If all sensitive data is password-protected, it is nearly impossible for an outsider to gain access. Password-protected Passcards and Identities are stored in files that are encrypted by your Master Password using AES, BlowFish, or 3DES. The individual who steals your computer would need to break these encryption algorithms in order to gain access to your protected data.
To ensure your files are protected by your Master Password, click the "Options" menu and select "Security." Verify that each box is checked under "Password Protection for New Files."
NOTE: If a Passcard or Identity is not password-protected, you're at risk of it being seen or used by others.
