When importing from a generic .CSV file, first ensure you have the most recent version of RoboForm downloaded and installed. This can be done at www.roboform.com/download.
Prior to importing please ensure that the CSV is formatted with the appropriate fields highlighted in the following screenshot.
To properly format a .CSV for import into RoboForm it must have these fields, in this order (as shown above):
- Name - What you want the title of the Login to be in RoboForm.
- URL - The sign-in page for the website you wish to use this Login with.
- Login - The username for the website you wish to use this Login with.
- Pwd - The password for the website you wish to use this Login with.
- Note - Any notes you want included with the Login.
- Folder - The folder you would like this Login to be imported to in RoboForm.

Importing a CSV Through the RoboForm Browser Extension
1) Go to the RoboForm Start Page. In the top right of the Start Page, click your account's email. From the menu which will appear, select the "Import" option.
2) Select CSV from the listed options for import.
Once you have finished exporting your data to a CSV, click the blue "Import from file" button and select the file which contains your data.
3) RoboForm will present you with a message confirming that the import was successful.
How to Import from a CSV (Windows)
1) Click the [ ^ ] (show hidden icons) button in the lower right corner of your screen, then click the RoboForm icon. Select "Tools" from the menu. Then, click the "Import" option.
2) You will be brought to a window offering a list of different sources to import data from. Select "CSV" from the column on the left.
At the bottom of this screen, you can click the "Folder" icon to choose the RoboForm folder where the data will be imported to. By default the data will be imported into the "Home" folder.
Once the location has been set, select the blue "Import from File" button in the lower right corner. Then, select the .CSV file that you wish to import.
3) When the import has been successfully completed, the following screen will display. If the confirmation screen does not appear, the file you tried to import is formatted incorrectly.
WARNING: It is strongly recommended that you delete the CSV file after this process because it contains unprotected data. Do not send it to anyone, upload it to the Internet, or even leave it in local storage on your computer.
How to Import from a CSV (Mac)
1) Click the RoboForm icon in the top right of your screen on the Menu bar. Click the 3 dots in the upper right corner. Then, select "Settings" from the menu.
2) Select "Account & Data" from the column on the left. Then, click the "Import from..." button under the "Import and Export" section.
3) You will be brought to a window offering a list of different sources to import data from. Select "CSV" from the column on the left.
At the bottom of this screen, you can click the "Folder" icon to choose the RoboForm folder where the data will be imported to. By default the data will be imported into the "Home" folder.
Once the location has been set select the blue "Import from File" button in the lower right corner. Then, select the .CSV file that you wish to import.
