RoboForm's built-in browser leverages a modern, lightweight ad-blocking approach powered by a well maintained EasyList ruleset. The browser fetches an up-to-date list of known ad and tracker domains, giving us a comprehensive and community-vetted blocklist.
When a page loads, our WebView integration intercepts each resource request and checks it against the ruleset before it ever reaches the network. If a request matches a blocked pattern, the WebView is instructed to treat that resource as restricted, it simply never renders it. No ads are downloaded, no trackers fire, and no extra content ever reaches your screen.
The result is a faster, cleaner browsing experience baked directly into RoboForm, with no additional extensions or configuration required.
How to Set Up the RoboForm Ad Block Feature
1) In your RoboForm iOS app, tap the 3 dots [...] in the upper right corner and select the "Settings" option.
2) Then, select "Web Browser" from the menu.
3) At the top of the page, you will see two options under the "Content" section:
- Block Pop-ups - When enabled, allows RoboForm to block pop-ups on sites when using the RoboForm Browser.
- Enable Ad Blocker - When enabled, allows RoboForm to block ads on sites when using the RoboForm Browser.
4) Configure your pop-up and ad blocking settings as you would like. Once you are finished, tap the blue checkmark in the top right.
