Master Password
The Master Password (set during account creation) is the key to encrypt and decrypt RoboForm data. RoboForm data remains encrypted at all times; the only way to decrypt it is with the correct Master Password. This means that RoboForm data is secure at all times, however, if a user loses their Master Password, their data will become inaccessible. We do not know any user's Master Password and there is no way to recover it, so it is very important to not forget the Master Password.
Two-Factor Authentication
In addition to the Master Password, RoboForm offers Two-Factor Authentication as an additional layer of security. With Two-Factor Authentication enabled, when the user attempts to Log In, they will be required to enter a One Time Password which will be sent via email or SMS. Two-Factor Authentication can be enforced on RoboForm for Business users by the company admin.
Personal Data
A user's ability to create personal data is subjected to RoboForm policies deployed by the company admins. Dependent upon the RoboForm policy set by the admins, users may or may not be allowed to create personal RoboForm data. If created, a user's personal data (data not shared via company groups and created by the user) is inaccessible to company admins. This data remains only accessible to the users that created it.
