You cannot remove your RoboForm Master Password, but you can reduce how often you need to enter it.
Two options are available:
- Passwordless Unlock - A secure alternative to typing your Master Password to sign in. To view our tutorial on enabling and using Passwordless Unlock with RoboForm, click here.
- Enabling the "Never (RoboForm will remain Unlocked)" option in RoboForm's settings.
To enable the "Never (RoboForm will remain Unlocked) option, follow the instructions below.
NOTE: Minimizing the number of times you are required to enter your Master Password can lead to accidental forgetfulness.
1) Open your browser and click the RoboForm extension icon. Click the 3 dots in the upper right corner of the extension's menu. Then, select "Settings" from the menu.
2) Select "Log In & Security" from the column on the left.
At the bottom of the page under "Auto-lock conditions" select the "Never (RoboForm will remain Unlocked)" option.
NOTE: By default, the "On device Lock or after ____ of inactivity" option will be selected. This option allows you to set RoboForm to auto-lock when you close your device, or browser (standalone extension). You can also choose a timeout period for RoboForm to auto-lock after a period of inactivity.
3) RoboForm will prompt you to confirm this action using your Master Password or Passkey.
4) After confirming, the "Never (RoboForm will remain Unlocked)" setting will be enabled. RoboForm will now not auto-lock, and the current session will remain unlocked regardless of device activity.
