RoboForm for Business users should contact their company administrator about the Master Password reset procedure.
Resetting your Master Password does not affect any active account status or subscription. However, it will delete all saved data in your RoboForm account.
Prior to resetting your Master Password, we recommend trying out the the following recovery options:
Potential recovery scenarios
Have you enabled Touch ID or PIN on the RoboForm mobile app?
If so, you can gain access to your data as long as RoboForm is running in the background. NOTE: the Master Password will always be requested upon app launch.
Have you set up an Emergency Contact?
If so, you can ask them to initiate emergency access.
Have you selected "Don't ask for Master Password" on desktop?
If so, you can export your data to a CSV before you reset your Master Password. Once exported, follow the reset instructions listed below.
Have you enabled fingerprint authentication or Touch ID on desktop?
If so, you can export your data to CSV before you reset your Master Password. Once exported, follow the reset instructions listed below.
If these scenarios do not apply, or if you've exported a CSV of your data, choose the appropriate reset option below.
