RoboForm for Business users should contact their company administrator about the Master Password reset procedure.
NOTE: Resetting your Master Password does not affect your paid subscription, but will delete all data in your RoboForm account.
Prior to resetting your Master Password, try the recovery options below.
Potential Recovery Scenarios
1 - Have you enabled biometrics on the RoboForm mobile app?
If so, you can restore your Master Password by enabling the Master Password Restore feature.

If Biometrics have not been enabled, then a restore cannot be performed.
2 - Have you set up an Emergency Contact prior to the password being forgotten?
If so, you can ask them to initiate Emergency Access. Click here for our tutorial on setting up Emergency Access.
If these scenarios do not apply, follow the steps below to reset your account.
3 - Have you recently changed your Master Password, but it’s not being accepted?
If you have recently changed your Master Password and cannot access your account with the new password, but still remember your previous Master Password, you can reset your account and restore your data from a previous backup using the older password.
Follow these steps:
- Reset your Master Password by following the steps below in the "How to Reset Your Master Password" section.
- Restore from a backup using your previous Master Password. Click here for our tutorial on restoring your data from a previous backup.
The old Master Password must be entered correctly to recover the previous data set. If it is not entered properly, recovery will not be possible.
How to Reset Your Master Password
1) Go to the RoboForm account login page and click the "Forgot your password?" link.
2) Scroll down to the "How to reset your Master Password" section and click the "enter your email address here" link.
3) Enter the email address associated with your RoboForm account and complete the verification prompt. Then, click the green "Submit" button.
4) RoboForm will confirm that your account reset request has been received and will send instructions for completing the account reset to your email.
5) Open the email from RoboForm and click the "Re-setup the account" link.
6) Create a new Master Password for your account, and then click the green "Delete the current data, and set this new password" button.
7) RoboForm will prompt you to confirm this action, click the green "Yes" button on this message.
8) RoboForm will confirm that the account has been reset. You can now log in using your new password.
**Resetting your Master Password does not affect your paid subscription but it will delete all data in your RoboForm account.**
