RoboForm stores all account data in one encrypted file referred to as the "OneFile system." When RoboForm data is created, it becomes a part of your account specific OneFile. It is encrypted at all times with the user's Master Password.
In Windows OS, this file is located in /AppData/local/RoboForm. Based on RoboForm for Business company policies, the user's RoboForm data can be kept local to the device on which it was created or it can be synced to the company account hosted on RoboForm servers. The copy of the data on our server allows users to access their data from anywhere as well as share it with other users in their RoboForm for Business company.
Administrators can force users to store all of their data locally or in a company accessible group. The company administrator can enable the "Disable Sync of Local / User Created RoboForm Data" to prevent their users from putting any data on the RoboForm server. Enabling the "Force user created RoboForm data to be saved in company groups only" policy will force users to save any data they create in a company owned group. Through groups, users with the correct permission level can share RoboForm data with other users. The Storage Type setting will determine where the data in the group will be stored. The Server setting will prevent a copy of the data in the group from being stored on user's computers. If the Storage Type is set to Sever then users will be unable to access any data in the group unless they have an internet connection. The Synced Storage Type will create a copy of the data in the group on both the user's computer and on the RoboForm server. For more information about groups, click here.
