Overview
Companies with 10 or more paid RoboForm for Business licenses can allow users to create company-sponsored personal RoboForm Premium accounts, ensuring a clear separation between business and personal data.
This feature can be controlled by company policy through the admin panel.
Restrictions
- This feature is only available for companies with 10+ paid RoboForm for Business licenses. If the number of users doors below 10, the Premium licenses from the company sponsored personal accounts are revoked.
- Joined Users: Cannot create sponsored personal accounts until invitation is accepted.
If split from the company, the personal license is revoked. - If a RoboForm for Business user with a sponsored personal account is deleted or suspended, the sponsored license is revoked and the personal account is automatically downgraded to Free mode. The user's personal data remains intact and is not affected by this change.
- Sponsored accounts cannot be invited to join other RoboForm for Business companies.
- Sponsored accounts cannot receive any additional licenses (or open a Business trial) while the business subscription is active. Once downgraded to Free, users can manage licenses independently.
User Setup
If this feature is enabled, RoboForm for Business company users will have an additional section added to their Settings. Company users can create a company-sponsored RoboForm Premium account from this section.
-
RoboForm for Business users enter their personal email to register the sponsored account.

FAQ
- Sponsored accounts are fully independent—no policy enforcement, sponsoring company admins have no access to any data access, or deletion rights. They function as Premium accounts during active sponsorship.
- On subscription expiry: Sponsored accounts downgrade to Free account with a 30-day full-featured trial. Users can purchase a license to continue using the account.
- Admins will be able to see which users have a sponsored personal account.
